LibGuide Outline

Below is a brief explanation of the type of material you will find under each tab of this LibGuide.

In-Person Resources: Click here for some suggested resources to go to in various counties, where you can obtain assistance from people. Some of these people may have legal training, but in most instances they will not be attorneys.

On-Line Resources: Try these helpful sites on the web, which may help you represent yourself (or help you to determine that you do not want to represent yourself!).

Law Libraries: You can always go to a local law library and check out the resources there on your own. Many law libraries are open and available to assist the public with their legal research needs. Here are some of the books you may want to look for in law libraries.

Legal Aid: If you think you may need an attorney, and you may qualify for legal aid, you may want to check out these Legal Aid offices in Minnesota.

Specific Legal Topics:  Here are some quick and easy tips about common legal issues, such as expungement of criminal records, family law, housing, and tax.
